Do brand-new Parkwood homes really need HVAC attention?
Heritage at Parkwood is Hughson's newest chapter: KB Home opened the Parkwood master plan in December 2023 at East Hatch Road and Santa Fe Avenue, with the Heritage collection offering one- and two-story homes up to six bedrooms, roughly 2,000 to 2,768 square feet, built as ENERGY STAR certified homes with smart thermostats, community parks, and quick Highway 99 access. Final homesites were still selling into 2026, so this is among the youngest housing stock we serve anywhere.
New does not mean maintenance-free, especially here. Hughson is proudly agricultural, the town that calls itself home of the annual Fruit and Nut Festival, and Parkwood sits directly on the urban-orchard interface. Harvest season coats this neighborhood in fine dust that loads filters monthly, not quarterly, and tight ENERGY STAR envelopes make indoor air quality and correct ventilation settings matter more, not less. The first few years are about commissioning checks, filter discipline, and documenting maintenance so the long factory warranties stay enforceable.

Which TID rebates apply to Heritage at Parkwood homes?
Turlock Irrigation District pays some of the strongest HVAC rebates in the Central Valley: $500 on a qualifying central air conditioner, $1,000 on a central heat pump, and $1,500 on a Gas-to-Electric (G2E) central heat pump when the contractor invoice shows the gas line capped or removed (15 SEER2 split minimum). Ductless mini-split AC or heat pump systems earn $350 per ton, and TID even pays up to $50 twice a year for a professional HVAC tune-up that cleans coils, verifies airflow, and checks refrigerant.
Two rules trip people up: the application must reach TID within six months of the purchase date, and funds are first-come, first-served each year. Rebates of $300 or less land as a bill credit automatically. We size the equipment to TID's efficiency minimums and hand you the completed paperwork on qualifying installs. One honest note on the big statewide programs: TECH Clean California single-family heat pump incentives closed to new reservations on November 14, 2025, HEEHRA income-qualified rebates were declared fully reserved statewide on February 24, 2026 (waitlist only), and the federal 25C tax credit expired December 31, 2025. Anyone quoting you those dollars today is selling with stale numbers.
